Such a great question, right?

I’d like to ask you: Do you keep looking for a “cure” to your sensitivity? Do you keep trying to “fix” yourself? Do you think you are broken?

Here’s another question: Are you spinning your wheels asking yourself, “Why am I like this?” How much energy are you spending trying to find the answer that will solve the problem of who you are.

First of all, it’s natural to want to know why. (Especially for inquisitive minds, and HSP’s have amazingly inquisitive minds!) However, if trying to solve the problem of who you are has become a barrier to self-acceptance and embracing yourself, I have another solution for you: Stop asking why and start accepting it. Own it. Embrace it.

Sensitivity and high empathy are part of who you are. They are the traits that make you uniquely you. They just are.

Spending too much time trying to “problem solve” our traits actually keeps us stuck. Would you obsessively ponder,

“Why do I have blue eyes?”

“Why is my hair brown?”

“Why, I ask…..WHY????????”

Likely, no.

What happens if you truly, deeply accept yourself? Freedom.

Once you learn to embrace all of who you are, that’s when a large part of the struggle ends. It’s when things will start to open up for you. It’s when you can lean into who you are and open up to the greatness that you’ve been keeping at bay.

So please watch the video below and let me know: Have you been rejecting part of yourself? Have you been stuck trying to fix yourself instead of embracing your whole self? Let me know!

Everything you said here resonates with me so deeply. I was actually quite relieved and happy to learn why I am the way I am! I stopped seeing it as a bad thing and really started learning how to love myself better.
